ON THE COOKIES, SET, GO!
BY JUDITH WILLIAMS
Greetings from the bakery! Advent is just around the corner and it's high time to bake cookies. However, many of them are full of sugar. But there is another way! We present a delicious and healthy alternative that is easy to make, refined with natural sweeteners - and still makes every sweet tooth happy. Yummy!
For me, Advent is one of the most beautiful times of the year. Everywhere there is the smell of mulled wine, tangerines and pine cones. I like to stroll through the streets decorated with fairy lights, look for gifts for my loved ones and gradually relax. One thing should definitely not be missing: baking cookies! Of course, you can also buy them ready-made - but you shouldn't miss out on the fun of a day in your own bakery. It's just fun! Flour on your hands, leftover dough on your face and the best part: you can snack while you're baking. Mmmm, delicious!
But unfortunately I also have a somewhat guilty conscience: Because the dough is usually full of sugar, which has been the standard for cookie recipes so far. This doesn't go well with our intention to stay fit and healthy. Especially the pre-Christmas season attracts with sweets on every corner. Too much of it is not good for us and yet saying no is often difficult. So how about a healthy treat, a cookie recipe that doesn't contain any sugar? You can access it more than once with a clear conscience!
