PROPERLY CARE FOR OILY SKIN

Oily skin brings with it special challenges: enlarged pores, an oily shine and impurities such as pimples or blackheads occur primarily on the forehead, nose and chin. But with the right care routine, oily skin can not only be controlled - but can also be made to shine in the best possible way.

🔍Self-test: How to recognize oily skin

  1. Clean your face thoroughly and dry it gently.
  2. Wait a bit 30 minuteswithout applying additional care products.
  3. Then press in soft paper towel lightly on forehead, nose, cheeks and chin.

Assessment: If there is a visible film of grease on the paper - especially in several facial zones - this is a sign oily skin there. If the cloth stays clean, it is more likely to be normal or dry skin. If the cloth only shows traces of grease in the T-zone (forehead, nose, chin), this is called Combination skin.

Other characteristics of greasy & oily skin

  • Make-up looks patchy after a short time and the complexion develops an unwanted shine

Causes of oily skin

Oily skin is the result of one excessive sebum production. Sebum fulfills an important role as a protective shield for our skin: it protects the epidermis, keeps it elastic and well moisturized. But an excess of sebum can not only lead to unpleasant shine. The accumulation of dirt and bacteria on the skin will also promote this pores clog – and the probability of Pimples or impurities rises.

Step 1: Cleaning

Thoroughly remove excess sebum from your skin in the morning and evening,
but without aggressive, drying products. Gentle, moisturizing formulations are ideal

Step 2: Exfoliate

For an extra dose of care: For oily skin, enzyme peels are the ideal choice to remove sebum and impurities to absorb and bind. Used once or twice a week at most, they can make a real difference and support clear, pure skin.

Application tip: Apply it specifically to areas where your skin tends to be shiny or uneven - for example just on that area T-zone or forehead. This means that dry skin areas are spared and your complexion appears more even.

Step 3: Concentrate or serum

Oily skin often struggles with an excess of lipids, but at the same time also with a lack of moisture. It is therefore advisable to keep the moisture above one serum or concentrate to supply. They provide the skin with a concentrated load of active ingredients without closing it off or putting any strain on it.
