MY WISH LIST:
21 THINGS TO STAY IN 2021
BY JUDITH WILLIAMS
1. Pick up the phone and call someone who wasn't expecting it.
2. Be kind to yourself. Yes, “self-care” is not just a word that sounds good, but one that you should take seriously!
3. Do shopping for neighbors in need.
4. Be a pro at washing your hands.
5. Don't run into other people's heels with your shopping cart in the supermarket, but keep your distance.
6. Friends, relatives, neighbors, colleagues ask “How are you?” And really want to know.
7. Don't hoard toilet paper.
8. Be grateful for what you have already achieved. And for what you have. And for who you are.
9. Learn to spend time alone and enjoy it.
10. Understand exponential functions.
11. Don't be so impatient - with yourself and others and things you can't change.
12. Keep in touch with people who live further away via Zoom and Skype. (Seeing each other is so much nicer than just hearing them!)
13. Appreciate the work of doctors, nurses and nurses.
14. Board games!
15. Be aware of those around you who are lonely. And then take care of him.
16. Make your home an oasis of well-being where you feel safe.
17. The word “pre-existing conditions” doesn’t trigger a question mark on the forehead, but rather a compassionate “I’m sorry!”
18. Cook and bake yourself! (And take time for it!)
19. Read good books and share them with others. Why not start book clubs?!
20. The good is so close: Discover the beauty of your homeland and its beautiful nature.
21. Think positive.
And now: Happy Christmas! I hope you have a wonderful celebration, even if it will probably be different than usual. Always remember what we have already achieved and be proud of it! I wish you and your loved ones a relaxing, contemplative holiday and a great start to a healthy, happy and carefree new year.
Feel embraced, your Judith
